PASTOR DEBORAH PERRY MCCALLA MDIV, MA, CPE

Pastor Deborah Perry McCalla was born and initially raised in the Newport News/Hampton, Virginia area, prior to Air Force military family relocations.  As a military spouse in adulthood, she experienced more than 25 experiencial years of ethnic, racial,cultural and ecumenical diversity within the Body of Christ through domestic and international immersions.  She has lived and traveled extensively, at home (USA) and abroad. Pastor McCalla is most thankful and blessed to have been Crowned through her life with the roles of Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Pastor.

 

In 1982, Pastor McCalla asked the Lord to save her and has since sought to be an evangelical disciple of Christ in every avenue of life.  The Lord grew and matured her spiritually, serving internationally as the Leader of Protestant Women of the Chapel (USAF) in England; and as a Representative in the Annual Women's Conference, Germany. 'Pastor Mac' also served as Minister and as a Retreat Team Leader with the 1st United Apostolic Church, Ipswich, England under the oversight of Bishop Martin H. Simmonds.  Domestically, she has served many years in Leadership, as a Minister, Teachier, Individual/Family Counselor, and Women's Ministry Leader with Springfield Baptist Church, Conyers, GA under the oversight of Sr. Pastor Eric Wendell Lee. She completed both a B.A. (Biblical Education) and M.A. (Biblical Studies) at Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, GA; finally earning her Masters of Divinity (MDiv) at Virginia Union University, Richmond, VA.  

 

Additionally, Pastor McCalla served as a Resident Chaplain for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital, Hampton, VA.  After two years of CPE Residential Training in CPE [Clinical Pastoral Education] in both Pastoral Care and Pastoral Counseling; she completed a Chaplaincy Fellowship.  Thereafter she served another unit of Chaplain's Residency with Riverside Regional Medical Center, a Trauma Level II Hospital.  Pastor Mac is well trained in the provision of Spiritual Care within a variety of environments, including Hospice, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Critical Care, MST, Trauma and Emergency Care. She is an Avid Disciple, Biblical Student, Preacher,Teacher, Trainer and Counselor in God’s Living Word  Pastor McCalla was led of the Lord to Found and Pastor 'Be Ye TransFormed Ministries.'  

 

Pastor McCalla is God's Daughter in Zion, Called and Committed with all the Saints to God’s Vision & Victory of TRIUMPH IN CHRIST ~ For We Are MORE THAN CONQUERORS, Destined to Fight the Good Fight of Faith and Prevail, through Our Lord Jesus Christ; and the Comforter, Who provides Guidance and Power ~ The Holy Spirit.  She labors for  “...the Perfecting of the Saints, for the Work of the Ministry, for the Edifying of the Body of Christ.  Till We All Come in the Unity of the Faith, and of the Knowledge of the Son of God, Unto a Perfect Man, unto the Measure of the Stature of the Fullness of Christ.  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine….(Eph. 4:12-14a)"
